Proverbs

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instructions.

My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.

For the Lord gives wisdom, from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you, understanding will keep you, to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things.

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established.

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths.
